HIGHLIGHTS: Great Northern Divers were at Caldecotte Lake (24th-31st), Calvert Lake (21st-31st), Willen Lake South (21st-24th), later found dead. Another was at Startop’s End Reservoir before flying to College Lake (20th). The Dartford Warbler remained at Hyde Heath. Two Cattle Egrets were at Sherington (21st & 29th) and at Newport Pagnell GP (22nd). Two Whooper Swans flew over Wolverton (6th). A Bewick’s Swan was at Floodplain Forest (13th). Two Pinkfeet were at Hillesden (5th).

A Ring-necked Duck was at Marsworth Reservoir (22nd-24th). A Black Redstart was at Whitehouse, Milton Keynes on four dates and at

Shenley Church End (19th). A Water Pipit was at Dorney Common (31st). A Yellow-browed Warbler was at Watermead Lake (28th-30th). Siberian-type Chiffchaff­s were at Tattenhoe (5th), Linford Reserve (7th) and Dorney Common (31st).

A Bearded Tit was at Willen Lake North (6th). Hawfinches were at Baldwin’s Wood (12th & 19th) and at Lee Common (26th). Two Short-eared Owls were at Whitehouse (from 12th), with three at Oakhill Wood (12th-14th and 17th) and one over Haddenham (30th). Great White Egrets were at several sites.

CALVERT LAKE: A Bittern was seen regularly. There was a Goosander (31st), plus a Caspian Gull and three Yellow-legged Gulls (4th).

DORNEY COMMON: There were two Green Sandpipers, seven Shelducks, a Mediterran­ean Gull (30th) and a White-fronted Goose (2nd-12th).

FOXCOTE RESERVOIR: There was a Caspian Gull (5th), Common Sandpiper (10th), four Goldeneyes and three Pintails.

LINFORD GP: There was a Bittern (15th), two Great White Egrets (1st), with one (15th & 17th), eight White-fronted Geese (16th-17th) and two Goosanders (11th).

LITTLE MARLOW GP: Highlights included two Shelducks, two Red-crested Pochards, a Goosander, Caspian Gull (22nd) and Yellow-legged Gull (11th).

OTHER SITES: College Lake had a Jack Snipe (17th) and two Great White Egrets (2nd). There was a Jack Snipe at Stoke Common (17th). Twelve Whitefront­s (8th-18th) and a Dunlin (11th) were at Rowsham. Newton Leys logged four Caspian Gulls and six Yellow-legged Gulls. A Jack Snipe and Pintail were at Gallows Bridge Farm (5th). Whitefront­s were at several sites.
