Competitio­n hots up in Great Birmingham Business Challenge

NEXT month staff at Wolverhamp­ton based Charter Court Financial Services (CCFS) are taking part in the 2016 Great Birmingham Run.

The team of 38 runners from the business will be vying to record the quickest team time and the chance of topping the table and collecting the Business Challenge Trophy at the event sponsored by the Birmingham Post.

The Business Challenge has been running for more than five years and aims to encourage Birmingham-based companies to get fit, work as team and raise money for good causes. This year the team will be raising money for The Chris Westwood Charity.

This year’s Great Birmingham Run takes place on Sunday, Octo- ber 16, when 20,000 runners will be hitting the streets of Birmingham.

Ian Lonergan, CEO of CCFS commented: “The runners are very much looking forward to battling it out for the Business Challenge Trophy alongside with many other leading local businesses.

“We’ve been training hard over the last few months and there is some healthy competitio­n amongst the CCFS team as well as against the other local businesses.”

More than 300 runners have now signed up for the Business Challenge.
