New craft beer bar for high street
A NEW craft beer bar and shop is set to open in Birmingham.
Clink Beer is hoping to redevelop the current Drinks World off-licence shop in Harborne High Street after it opened its first venue next to the Custard Factory in Digbeth last year.
The new bar and shop will feature tables and benches for about 24 people.
It will open from 9am-11pm for the sale of craft beers as well as tasting events featuring bottles of craft beer sourced from breweries around the world as well as beers on tap.
According to planning documents, The Harborne Society did not object in principle to the change of use application, though it said the ‘loss of retail space on the High Street is regrettable’.
