He has openly said he prefers not to speak to the media, acting as though he believes he stills holds a private job instead of public office.

Tillerson said nothing on the Westminster attack while the President labelled it simply as “big news”.

However, it failed to stop one Trump, the US leader’s smug eldest son, from using the deaths for political gain.

As the injured still lay dying, Donald Trump Jnr blasted the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, twisting several comments made six months ago that such attacks could be expected.

Terror attacks are “part and parcel of living in a big city,” Khan had said following a bomb explosion in Manhattan that injured 29 people.

“It is a reality I’m afraid that London, New York, other major cities around the world have got to be prepared for these sorts of things. That means being vigilant, having a police force that is in touch with communities, it means the security services being ready, but it also means exchanging ideas and best practice,” said Khan, who has called President Trump’s take on Muslims “ignorant”.

The total lack of compassion and respect that is surely to be expected from a President and his offspring was abhorrent.

After all, as he was criticising Britain’s security frailties and how a police officer could be killed, another US cop was being murdered in the line of duty in America.

In fact, 12 American officers have so far lost their lives this year, compared to the same number over 14 years in the UK. Trump Jnr, as well as those Americans who supported his warped views, have no right to attack the UK, given the daily violence that exists throughout the States.

But should we expect anything less?

In two short months since coming to power, America has been reduced from the leader of the Western world to the pariah through the utterances of Trump and his family.
