Major fashion chains to open Bullring stores

- Michaela Moore

THREE more fashion chains have announced plans to open in the Bullring in Birmingham city centre.

Coach, which was founded in New York in 1941, will sell footwear, clothes and accessories.

The new Bullring branch becomes only its second outside of London.

Also launching in the Bullring is luxury footwear retailer Russell & Bromley.

Both of these stores are opening on the upper east mall but no date has been revealed yet.

Completing the lineup is British men’s fashion brand Ben Sherman, which will open in the LinkStreet mall on April 10.

The store will sell clothes, shoes and accessories and join fashion brands such as Luke 1977 and Pretty Green in the mall between Bullring and Grand Central.

Bullring ring general manager Michaela Moore said: “It’s fantas- tic news not just for Bullring but for the city that these three stand-out brands have decided to have a presence in Birmingham.

“All three brands follow Smashbox, T2 and New Look Men in choosing the centre to open their first standalone stores in the region.”

Andrew Stanleick, president of Coach Europe, said: “We are delighted to be opening our first standalone store in Birmingham.

“Bullring has a reputation as the region’s premier retail destination and so it is a perfect fit for Coach.”
