Stab victim: ‘We can’t return home’

-

THE businessman whose wife and son were killed in their Stourbridge home has said the family will never be able to live there again.

Peter Wilkinson lost his wife Tracey, aged 50, and their 13-year-old son Pierce when they were brutally stabbed at their £600,000 house in March.

Mr Wilkinson was also stabbed and left seriously injured but recovered and is now out of hospital.

He and the couple’s 18-yearold daughter Lydia, who was away at Bristol University when the attack happened, have been speaking about the horrifying incident.

Speaking to Radio WM, Mr Wilkinson said they were staying with relatives and had not yet returned to the family home in Greyhound Lane, Norton, where the stabbing happened.

He said: “We will have to go back, because we’ve got to go back to our home, our happy house, even if it’s just one more time, but that’s something else.

“We can never foresee ourselves living there again, even though it is such a beautiful house.”

He went on to say how he and Lydia will move house, but remain in the Stourbridge area.

Aaron Barley, 23, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of murder.
