Shaylor backs cycle challenge for hospital
ALDRIDGE-BASED Shaylor Group showed its commitment to charitable causes last week by providing essential transport and mechanical support to aid one of its team’s successful completion of the John O’Groats to Lands End challenge.
Contracts manager Stuart Millichamp and friends from the Big Red Bus Velo Club successfully completed the bike ride to raise funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The team battled extreme weather and covered upwards of 900 miles in just nine days.
The effort has raised over £12,000 so far.
Shaylor Group was thrilled to welcome them to their head office as they travelled through the Midlands.
A spokesman said: “Shaylor Group’s provision of a support vehicle assisted in making the whole journey possible and the company is extremely proud to have played a part in this fantastic charity challenge.”
