Time to bring the bombers to justice
DEAR Editor, Much has been discussed in the press and on television, regarding the tragic events of November 1974 and the recent ‘confession’ of Michael Hayes (now residing in Ireland) in which he openly says that he was ‘one of the bombers’.
Now, in spite of strenuous efforts by the many campaigners, the standard reply to answers regarding the co-conspirators appears to be, “We cannot reveal who else was involved.”
This suggests to me that they do know because I have never heard any one of them say that they do not know!
I firmly believe that the ‘authorities’, whoever they may be, are hiding behind a complicated shield of bureaucracy and red tape, yet in fact do know the persons or organisers concerned.
It is far easier to play the ‘national security’ card than come clean. Oh no, that could well involve having to admit that they were lying all the time.
