A special element to this year’s Business Challenge comes in the Chamber Cup, which invites Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce members and patrons to battle it out to be crowned fastest firm in the organisation.

The Midlands’ biggest half marathon takes place on Sunday, October 15, the same day as the now sold-out inaugural Birming- Post is a the Arcadis ham International Marathon, meaning more than 22,000 people could be taking to the streets in a city-wide celebration of running.

The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce will be entering a team for the Arcadis Business Challenge and chief executive Paul Faulkner said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the Arcadis Business Challenge at this year’s Simplyhealth Great Birmingham Run. The event is a great way to showcase Birmingham as a passionate sports city, particularly with the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games bid gaining momentum.”

Each Arcadis Business Challenge team needs to be a minimum of four people and a maximum of eight, but companies can enter as many teams as they wish. Trophies are handed out to fastest teams in Small, Medium and Large Business categories with the four fastest accumulated times by participants added up for each team to pick the overall winners.

Any company entering 12 or more participants will automatically receive a plaque in the name of their fastest runner, inspiring friendly workplace competitiveness.
