Brainy 10-year-old has IQ of Einstein

SCHOOL work is child’s play for one baby-faced brainbox, who has the same IQ as Albert Einstein and Professor Stephen Hawking.

Now maths genius Toby Liu has just become one of Mensa’s youngest-ever membersers – aged just ten.

The Walsall school- boy is ranked in the top one per cent of the population after achieving an IQ score of 160 – thought to match that of both h Hawking and Einsteinei­n (pictured).

Toby, who turns 11 in November, said he was delighted with his success.

The Hydesville Tower School Year 6 student nt said: “I’m really pleased sed with myself.

“I wasn’t expecting to do so well. Maths is my favourite subject and I hope to go on to do really well in this subject when I go to senior school next year.”

Head teacher Warren Honey said: “This truly is an impressive result and we are all very proud of what Toby has achieved. “He worked really hard to earn his high score, so a huge well done from us all.” Mensa – the high IQ society – was formed in 1946 and aims to identify and foster human inte intelligen­ce for the be benefit of humanity and provide a stimulatin­g intellectu­al anda social environmen­tm for its members.b I It currently has arou around 20,000 membe bers in the UK and 1 110,000 worldwide, with more than 1,300 of the memb bers in the UK aged 1 16 and under. J John Stevenage, chief executive of British Mensa, said: “We are delighted to welcome Toby and have him join up with the other young people in Mensa. “We hope he enjoys tapping into the knowledge and expertise that is available from other members.”
