Liberty House Group play a key part in Business Awards
WITH the 2017 edition of the Birmingham Post Business Awards taking place last week, it is easy to reflect on the success the event has had.
It has gone from a small event some 20 years ago to being one of the city’s most highly anticipated occasions attracting hundreds each year.
One of this year’s headline sponsors is Liberty House Group who will not only benefit from the vast exposure these awards bring, but will also help further raise the profile of the event.
The international metals and industrial group Liberty House specialise in commodities, metals recycling and the manufacturing of steel, aluminium and engineering products, operating in more than 30 countries and employing over 11,000 people across the world.
Speaking of the association with the awards, and the company chose to become the Headline Sponsors, member of the Liberty House Board and CEO of Liberty Industries Group Douglas Dawson said: “We are honoured to be playing such an intrinsic role in this year’s Birmingham Post Business Awards.
“We are extremely excited to be associated with one of the country’s biggest and brightest business events.
“The calibre of entrants this year is high, and we congratulate all winners.”
With Douglas clearly enthusiastic about the company’s involvement with the awards, he went on to highlight the key benefits the awards bring to the Liberty House Group as a whole.
He said: “Our social responsibility is one of our core values at the Liberty House Group, and is something we uphold across all four of our offices – London, Singapore, Dubai and Hong Kong.
“Wanting to engage with the wider communities that surround our offices, being the Headline Sponsor of these ever-growing awards allow us to recognise and celebrate the achievements fellow entrepreneurs and businesses have gained.
“Of course, from a business point of view, being the Headline Sponsor also has a number of other benefits, the main one being the ability to further promote our offering.
“The Birmingham Post Business Awards has become renowned for its networking opportunities which all businesses involved are encouraged to grab with both hands – and we certainly will!”
The Birmingham Post Business Awards took place on Wednesday 18 October at The ICC. The evening, which was hosted by TV comedian, Mark Dolan, and former Badminton silver medallist, Gail Emms MBE, recognised businesses across a range of industries such as retail, professional services, manufacturing and sales & marketing.
