OAP secretly filmed men using toilets

POLICE believe there could be more victims of a perverted pensioner who secretly filmed men using toilets at a Midland service station.

Officers launched an appeal for them to come forward after Robert Moore, 71, was handed a suspended jail sentence for his sordid activities.

The pensioner reportedly filmed at least 130 videos of men using the toilets at Norton Canes services on the M6 Toll and South Mimms services on the M25.

He was caught with footage on his mobile phone after being spotted trying to film over a cubicle wall by a victim.

Moore, of Diss in Suffolk, received a 14-week suspended sentence at St Albans Magistrates’ Court in Hertfordshire last November after admitting making the recordings for sexual gratification between May 2013 and October 2017.

He was also given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years and placed on the sex offenders’ register for seven years.

A Hertfordshire Police spokesman said: “Robert Moore was charged with recording a person doing a private act with the intention that you would, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, look at that image of that other person doing an act, knowing the other person did not consent to your recording the act with that intention between May 16, 2013 and October 7, 2017.

“The charge covered a fouryear period and included all of the videos that were found on Moore’s device.

“He was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Friday, November 17, given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years and placed on the sex offenders’ register for the next seven years.”
