Baggies weigh up a return for Pearson
ALBION will consider an offer to bring Nigel Pearson back to English football this summer, according to sources.
Pearson is currently managing in the second tier of Belgian football with OH Leuven and the former Albion No.2 has led the club to second in the league this season.
Pearson, who took charge of Albion for a short spell between the tenures of Bryan Robson and Tony Mowbray in 2006, led Leicester to the Championship title in 2014.
Albion are staring at relegation; they are ten points adrift at the bottom of the Premier League with seven matches to play.
The Baggies have lost eight matches on the spin, which has sparked plenty of speculation regarding the future of head coach Alan Pardew.
The former Crystal Palace manager only replaced Tony Pulis in November but has enjoyed just one league win in 17 matches.
Meanwhile, Albion have been handed a fitness boost with key midfielder Nacer Chadli expected to figure against Burnley this weekend.
“We’re desperate to have him back because we’re running out of time,” said Pardew.
