Provider of flexible offices moves in

-

A PROVIDER of flexible offices has taken all the vacant space in a refurbished city centre building.

BE Offices has agreed a deal for 36,300 sq ft over six floors at Somerset House, in Temple Street, where it will join Latin American restaurant chain Las Iguanus and The Head Of Steam pub which is due to open soon.

BE Office has signed a 15-year deal on the property where it will operate shared and flexible office space.

The building is now fully let, five months after owner Circle Property completed its refurbishment.

John Arnold, chief executive of Circle Property which acquired the building in 2016, said: “We saw an opportunity to apply our asset management expertise to this very well located but under-invested and out-dated office property.

“Our strategy was to create a high-quality product, well placed to capitalise on tenant demand in Birmingham while adding much needed leisure usage to Temple Street. We acquired, comprehensively redeveloped and fully leased the building in just two years.”

David Saul, managing director of BE Offices, said: “We are delighted to take our first space in Birmingham as part of our continued expansion plan.

“The landlord’s sympathetic refurbishment of this stunning art deco building made it a very attractive proposition for us.”
