Mum flees city after ‘car rammed and shots fired at door’

-

A TRAUMATISED Birmingham mum-of-four who claims shots were fired at her front door has fled the city and vowed never to return.

The 40-year-old is currently living out of a suitcase in a Black Country hotel after claiming she’s been forced to flee her own home in Erdington for her children’s safety.

In a separate incident, her car was rammed, she alleges.

“I’m just really struggling at the moment,” said the woman, who remains adamant she’ll never ever return to the Second City. “The incident in April was the final straw to be honest.

“I had a bloke ram my car on the Church Tavern car park in Perry Barr, hitting the side where my 11-monthold was strapped in.”

The collision in Church Lane has been confirmed by West Midlands Police, who said the driver was known to the family, before he attempted to follow them in his BMW.

The woman, who asked that her identity not be revealed, says the worst of the violence came in January and March respectively when their home was allegedly shot at and her partner was “attacked with a machete”.

“Not only have they rammed the hell out of my car, my house was shot at in January,” she added.

“It’s an ongoing feud with people. I was hit with a metal bar outside my house and broke my arm.

“My lad, who is 19 now, also kept being threatened and in September last year we had to get an emergency flight back from our holiday because he was in real trouble.

“Our house has been smashed up. I was there for 11 months and it was just the worst place I’ve ever lived in my life.”

The deeply concerned mum, who has spent time in hotels as far as Ludlow in recent weeks, added: “There’s just no way I can come back to Birmingham. I’m ready, with my kids, to start a new life somewhere else.”
