GVA appointed to run Beorma developmen­t

PROPERTY consultanc­y GVA has been appointed to manage a major mixed-use developmen­t in Birmingham which will include a 27-storey office and residentia­l tower.

The company’s property management consultanc­y team has been charged with delivering a full suite of property management, facilities management and marketing services for the Beorma Quarter project in Digbeth.

The site occupies a plot of land fronting Digbeth High Street and opposite St Martin’s Church and Bullring shopping centre and has planning consent for the delivery of a mixed-use scheme incorporat­ing office, hotel and residentia­l uses totalling 640,450 sq ft.

The first phase comprised a new Adagio apart-hotel and the conversion of the historic Digbeth Cold Storage building into offices to which the Prince’s Trust’s Midlands office recently relocated.

Due to commence shortly, the second phase will include a 27-storey office and residentia­l tower block which will deliver circa 125 units.

GVA will undertake the management of the buildings completed in the first phase and provide consultanc­y advice on future phases and public realm.
