Digital marketing guru to lead ad agency expansion at new city office

-

A DIGITAL marketing specialist has been appointed to lead the expansion of advertising agency M3 with the aim of delivering £1 million of new business.

Sam Hufton, former commercial director of Jewellery Quarter-based digital marketing agency Rice Media, has joined M3 to lead the launch of its new office in Birmingham as operations director.

He will initially be responsible for a team of five and has been given the task of establishing the company as an alternative to the city’s existing marketing community.

His previous roles have seen him work with names such as Aston Villa and National Geographic.

Wolverhampton-based M3 has recently opened a new office at the Alpha Works hub in Birmingham city centre.

Mr Hufton said: “This is a very exciting time to be joining M3, with the rebrand proving very popular with new and existing clients and ambitious plans to create a Birmingham presence that can generate £1 million of new fees in the first 12 months. There is no better time to be moving into the second city. Extensive investment in Paradise Circus and the imminent roll-out of HS2 has generated a fantastic vibe and means we have a great opportunity to attract both high-profile work that usually favours London and some of the region’s most creative minds.”

Managing director Nick Lovett added: “It’s a real coup to attract someone of Sam’s calibre and repu- tation and reflects our desire to get people talking about what we do.

“He knows Birmingham very well and has lots of interesting contacts so it made perfect sense for him to lead our first ever foray there.”
