-

TWO new independent retailers are set to open stores at Birmingham’s Mailbox shopping mall.

English Brands specialises in handmade leather shoes and boots alongside high-end men’s fashion names such as Sanders, Loake and Gaziano & Girling.

Also joining the Mailbox will be Burrows & Hare which sells premium clothing, grooming and lifestyle products for men including Sunspel, Oliver Spencer and ABCL.

English Brands will open during August and Burrows & Hare will launch its store in the autumn.

Michail Bolohs, founder and chief executive of English Brands, said: “We’ve been looking for the opportunity to bring our high-end products to the right location for some time and the Mailbox’s aspirational mix of stores and restaurants seemed like the perfect fit.”

Azeem Ansari, director of Burrows & Hare, added: “While Birmingham may be called the Second City, we see it as the only place to be right now.

“With the broader investment and bigger companies looking at moving to the city, we couldn’t be happier to be joining at such an exciting time.

“We look forward to meeting our new customers at the Mailbox very soon.”

The companies will join other fashion brands at the boutique mall including Harvey Nichols, Hugo Boss and Paul Smith among others.

David Pardoe, head of marketing at the Mailbox, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming English Brands and Burrows & Hare to the Mailbox later this year.

“We’re confident their highquality products will resonate with our customers.

“It’s fantastic that the Mailbox is being recognised by independent brands in this way.

“I have no doubt the new stores will be a huge success in Birmingham.”
