Number of offers on table for me – Chadli

-

NACER Chadli has revealed he has offers on the table this summer as he seeks a resolution to his uncertain future at Albion.

Chadli caught the eye at the World Cup in Russia after being unexpectedly called up by Belgium manager Roberto Martinez.

By the end of the tournament, the winger had forced himself in Martinez’s starting XI.

He scored the winner in the last 16 as the Red Devils toppled Japan and then laid on the pass for Thomas Meunier’s opening goal against England in last Saturday’s third-place play-off.

The injuries which dogged Chadli throughout last season haunted him again on the global stage, though, and he hobbled off with a suspected hamstring injury before half-time.

Upon their return to Belgium, the squad were greeted by thousands of supporters and Chadli confirmed he has received interest from elsewhere.

“It is now time for me to call my agent and ask him what he has in store,” he said. “I think there’s a number of offers on the table, we are going to look at it all this week quietly and then we will make some decisions.”

The 28-year-old, who reportedly has interest in Turkey, France and Italy, is one of three players in the Albion squad with a release clause. The figure interested parties must meet is £17 million. Meanwhile, Matt Phillips will NOT be moving to Cardiff City.

The Baggies’ winger is one of many players being linked with a move away from The Hawthorns and, for the right money, it is feasible he could move on.

Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock won’t be signing him though, despite registering an interest.

He revealed it was the price tag for Phillips which killed any deal before it could be discussed.

“I was (interested) until I found he was £15m,’’ said Warnock. “It’s never been on the agenda, one phone call I made about him six weeks go.

“It finished at the end of that conversation.”
