Brazilian grill to open in business district

-

BIRMINGHAM is set to welcome a new restaurant this autumn.

Brazilian rodizio bar and grill Fazenda will open its doors in October, next door to Argentinian restaurant Gaucho.

Builders are currently at work at Fazenda’s premises in Church Street, in the Colmore Row business district.

Judging by the clientele at Fazenda’s sister sites in the north, Brummies can expect a high end, all-you-can eat experience.

Fazenda was founded in Leeds and has sister restaurants in Liverpool, Manchester and Edinburgh.

The Birmingham branch will be its first in the Midlands.

Soap stars and footballers are regulars at the Manchester branch.

Unlike Gaucho next door, the Fazenda menu is not all about steak. Diners will be able to choose traditional Brazilian bacon-wrapped chicken breast, pork belly sliced and served with honey and cinnamon sauce, as well as lamb grilled and brushed with Fazenda’s signature mint sauce.

And national dish Brazilian Feijoada (bean stew with meat) is also on the menu.

The restaurant works in similar style to fellow rodizio bar and grill Rodizio Rico at The Cube.

The emphasis will be on unlimited freshly grilled meats served by passadors.

An all-you-can eat lunchtime meat feast will cost £19.50 on weekdays and £21.30 on weekends.

The Monday-Sunday evening, all you can eat meat experience costs £32.50.

There is also a separate menu for those who want fish, vegan and vegetarian dishes.

Seafood dishes include Scottish salmon marinated in scotch whisky, lettuce and lemon as well as cod, squid ink, garlic and spinach.
