Moore won’t worry about losing Barnes

-

WEST Bromwich Albion boss Darren Moore is refusing to worry about the possibility of Leicester City recalling Harvey Barnes.

The 20-year-old midfielder has wasted no time becoming a fans’ favourite at The Hawthorns with a string of exciting performances.

Playing in a No.10 role, Barnes (pictured) has contributed three goals and two assists and has become a key component for free-scoring Albion.

Leicester have the option to recall Barnes in January and Foxes boss Claude Puel admits he is keeping an eye on the youngster.

But Moore is determined to enjoy and help Barnes rather than worrying about what the next few months might bring.

“Harvey’s their player, he’s been loaned to us and is doing a tremendous job for us,” said Moore.

“If there’s any manager that’s going to speak about Harvey, it’s Claude Puel.

“But we’ll approach that time when it comes to it. At the moment he’s an important player for us, Harvey.

“We continue to work with him, he continues to develop individually and also for the team.”

West Brom have appointed Luke Dowling as their new technical director.

Dowling had been working at Nottingham Forest since February having previously played an instrumental role at Watford where he helped the club win promotion to the Premier League.

The ex-Watford sporting director was a junior at Tottenham and had a spell at Reading before injury ended his career.

He worked as a scout and a coach, with different roles at many clubs including AFC Wimbledon, Crystal Palace, Portsmouth and Leeds before joining the Hornets in 2014 at the age of 36.

Nicky Hammond was sacked as technical director in April, amid the inquest to last season’s dire campaign.

At the time Giuliano Terraneo was named as a technical consultant but his contract ran until September.
