Fans ARE going to love it under Dean, insists Neil

-

DEFENDER Neil Taylor reckons fans will learn to love the Dean Smith revolution.

More than 41,000 crammed inside Villa Park on Saturday to witness the launch of a new era under Smith, despite it being followed by the Norwich City setback.

Clearly, it will take time for the new head coach and his backroom staff to implement their ideas and see them translated on to the pitch.

Taylor, for one, is convinced the supporters will approve after Smith got off to a flyer against Swansea.

“It’s all great stuff. It’s everything the boys want to do going forward and the crowd will love to watch it,” said the Welshman.

“They have been a breath of fresh air and I am sure the more time we spend on the training pitch, we will only get better.

“I’ve played under a number of managers in my career, being a bit older. But his sessions are good and his ideas are good.

“The staff are really vibrant around the place. We are looking forward to the future now.”

Smith’s arrival has opened the door for Taylor, who had been on the fringes under Steve Bruce.

He had only started three Championship matches this season before Smith threw him straight into the action against his former club.

“It’s a fresh start for everyone and the manager has said that himself,” Taylor added. “Everyone needs to be ready. Everyone has been training brilliantly. Everyone will be involved.

“It’s going to take everybody – everybody needs to pull together, the whole football club. That’s what it’s going to take to move up the league.”
