Japanese restaurant and ‘A-Listers’ club put on the market

-

A CITY centre restaurant and nightclub have been put up for sale.

Nozomi restaurant and bar as well as nightclub Soiree, based next door, have been advertised on property website RightMove.

The Japanese fine dining restaurant is accepting offers in the region of £249,950 and Soiree, formerly known as Beorma and described as a “celebrity venue”, is on sale for offers in the region of £149,950.

The businesses are managed by former solicitor Zafaran Rashid and owned by his father, top city lawyer Tariq Rashid.

Soiree opened as Beorma in April 2016 but the venue had its licence revoked after a gun was fired by gangster Fabian Williams, who is linked to the Johnson Crew gang. Williams was jailed for 14 years in September 2016.

Police told licensing chiefs the club was used by Johnson Crew gang associates and rival Burger Bar Boys.

Soiree holds a current premises licence granted on December 5, 2017, and has had no trouble since.

Nozomi opened in May 2016 with an opening party attended by Danielle Lloyd and footballers including Gabby Agbonlahor, Charles N’Zogbia and Saido Berahino.

The RightMove advert for Soiree said: “Soiree only operates as a private hire venue to A-List celebrities, footballers and music artists and is fitted to a very high specification.

“All the hard work has been done so this is an ideal bolt-on for any existing operator or would lend to any new club owner wanting to enter the market.

“We believe that there is huge potential for any new owner operator to take this venue to the next level by opening as a standard nightclub or even change it to a gentleman’s club.”
