Authentic Furniture has opened a new store in Birmingham’s Mailbox complex.

The 3,000 sq ft store is the firm’s second showroom, with the other in Matlock, Derbyshire.

Authentic Furniture sells sofas and living room and dining furniture which is handmade to order in the UK.

It is the latest homewares and furniture brand to sign up for the new-look ground floor of the boutique city centre mall where companies such as Heal’s, Made and Design Quarter have all launched stores over recent months.

Managing director Tim Lowry said: “The showroom is an extremely important part of our customer journey due to the nature of our products and the customisation options available and we know that the Mailbox’s easily accessible location will provide us with a platform to engage with a brand new customer base.

“It’s an incredibly exciting time to be moving to the UK’s second city, thanks to the significant level of investment and number of large corporations choosing to relocate there and we’re looking forward to welcoming people to the new store very soon.”

Melanie Taylor, head of retailer relations at Mailbox co-owner Milligan, added: “We’re extremely proud that the Mailbox is now the leading destination for furniture and interiors both in Birmingham and across the region.

“We’re confident Authentic Furniture’s range of beautifully made and design-led furniture will resonate with our customers and are delighted to welcome them to our market leading collection of brands here at the Mailbox.”
