Hubbard to lead lawyers for next five years

-

A BIRMINGHAM law firm has reappointed its senior partner for a second term as it reports record revenues.

Peter Hubbard will lead city centre-based Anthony Collins Solicitors for another five years.

His re-appointment follows a busy year for the practice which has recruited an additional 31 staff, including three partners, invested in a new regional office in Manchester and seen turnover increase by £800,000 to £20.2 million in 2018/19, breaking the £20 million mark for the first time.

Profit dipped to £4.4 million from £5.3 million the previous year which the practice said was as a result of investment into its new Manchester office and the recruitment of new staff.

The firm now has 318 staff spread across its Birmingham HQ and new North West operation.

Mr Hubbard said: “This year has seen the firm further establish its national credentials while strengthening the recruitment of like-minded individuals.

“Our unrelenting commitment to delivering legal services with a social purpose and recruiting the right people is integral to our year-onyear growth.

“Our financial performance demonstrates that pursuing a social purpose helps harness commercial success in today’s society.

“By investing in a Manchester office, we are now attracting talented people from across the country who want to work for a social purpose law firm.

“Our two offices evidence our national and growing client base and our strengthened ability to service our clients in the North West.

“This broadened reach combined with attracting and retaining talented people committed to our purpose, and the work we do with our clients, has allowed us to continue to improve lives, commu
