TRIED & TESTED

WE PUT FIVE BLUSHERS THROUGH THEIR PACES SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO

INC.REDIBLE FOR THE FIRST TIME BOUNCE BLUSH £8, Superdrug

THIS is incredibly pigmented, but still feels very light. The shade Be My First Kiss is a nice nude and the formula is very easy to blend. They recommend mixing on the back of your hand before applying to your cheeks (using fingers) so you control the amount. I did and it gave me a pretty, natural flush.

BAREMINERALS BOUNCE & BLUR BLUSH £23, bareminerals.co.uk

THIS has a “blurring mineral complex” which is meant to give skin a light, airbrushed effect. The powder feels very soft and almost creamy, which meant my skin still looked dewy after applying this. It did give me a slight blurring effect as I noticed some of my pores looked smaller.

E.L.F JELLY POP FLUSH BLUSH £6, Superdrug

I WAS sceptical as I’ve used a jelly before and it just got stuck under my nails. This one transfers onto your finger with a very light touch so there was no mess, despite being quite runny. I liked the rosy shade Flush Blush but it had too much shimmer for me. It applied smoothly, though.

CLARINS JOLI BLUSH £27, John Lewis

I LOVED the look of this but I couldn’t quite find the right shade match – Cheeky Purple was the closest. It comes with a little brush in the compact and the colour sits nicely on the skin without needing much building up. It also lasted all day, which was ideal.

CARTER BEAUTY CUPID BLUSHER PALETTE

£7, Boots

ARIANA GRANDE apparently loves their eyeliner so I was all for trying this. I really like the shade choices – there’s a dark rose, a peach and two very wearable nudes (one blended with gold for a subtle shimmer). The powders feel light and apply easily with a brush. Great for the price.
