will bring his Greatest Hits Tour to Birmingham in the new year.

The pop star became a global sensation with the Stock, Aitken and Waterman production house, topping charts around the world with Never Gonna Give You Up. But after a spell out of the public eye to focus on being a parent, he reprised his musical career with renewed energy as a versatile and nuanced musician.

The Greatest Hits Tour 2020, supported by KT Tunstall, hits Arena Birmingham on Thursday, April 9.

A new careerspan­ning compilatio­n album, The Best of Me, which includes fan favourites such as Keep Singing, Angels On My Side and Beautiful Life, is scheduled for release in October.

So far, 2019 has seen the evergreen singer back on the road, playing to 500,000 people over the course of 38 stadium shows with Take That. He also hit the Isle of Wight Festival, Pub in the Park and Chris Evans’ Carfest, and headlined Kew The Music.

auditioned for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent there was barely a dry eye in the house.

Performing in his iconic scarlet jacket, with a row of medals across his chest, the 89-year-old captivated the audience as he sang in memory of his beloved wife Joan.

When he left the stage, Colin was told that even the technician­s were crying. Of course, Colin went on to win Simon Cowell’s ITV show.

Since then, Colin has become the oldest person to ever sign a record deal and his album Love Changes Everything is out December 6.

And next year he’s going on a UK tour which includes a performanc­e at Town Hall, Birmingham, on Wednesday, March 25.

The shows will see Colin perform his favourite songs from the album as well as his much-loved tracks from Britain’s Got Talent.

will play at gig at Arena Birmingham four days before Christmas Day. The reggae legends will return to their Brummie roots on Saturday, December 21.

The band said on its official Facebook page: “After an amazing year of touring the world we are ending the year in style with a very special Christmas show in our home town”.

The band features James Brown, Duncan Campbell, Robin Campbell, Earl Falconer, Norman Hassan, Martin Meredith, Tony Mullings, Laurence Parry and Brian Travers.

They launched album For The Many in March with a signing session in the Bullring.
