WINTER COATS ALL WRAPPED UP
I NEED a new winter coat. Be honest, we have all said it, NEED, when we really mean want.
I know that, despite having several outerwear items adorning my pegs, there is always one type of coat missing from my repertoire and I blame the inclement British weather.
Not any one coat is suitable for all of the elements we face in the UK.
Brands such as Rains have done a great job creating stylish waterproof coats in simple shapes in an array of colours, but day to day they just don’t have the same appeal as that dove grey overcoat I spotted last week in Zara, that will neither keep me warm nor dry.
Hence every year the hunt for that all-weather coat starts right about now.
We are bombarded by magazine articles and influencers telling us which one is the
QMY granddaughter is getting married in Scotland and I need a purple coat to wear over my dress, I want it to be warm but ideally something I can wear again and again.

Buy a size down as this is an oversized style. Granted, it is not cheap but you will definitely want to wear it over and over. must-have coat of the season, cue an avalanche of choices and an overwhelming number of styles, from checked to borg, trench to wrap.
No wonder we want a coat for every outfit!
