Take the plunge with the help of a new diving show
Bristling with the latest kit, interactive displays, hundreds of exhibitors and talks hosted by experts, there’ll be no shortage of inspiration at Go Diving, a new Midlands exhibition
UNDERWATER adventures make for thrilling holidays and now there’s a perfect opportunity for you to discover a taste of marine life right here in the landlocked West Midlands.
GO Diving is a new dive show spearheaded by Scuba Diver magazine and Deeperblue.com, and it’s coming to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry from February 22 to 24.
Diving holidays are a hugely popular part of the growing adventure travel market, from exploring coral reefs and sunken warships in the Red Sea to swimming among whale sharks and manta rays in the Indian Ocean.
The show features virtual sharks, underwater caves and shipwrecks and more – and you can get 2-4-1 tickets.
Here are some of the highlights...
A giant 100 sq metre ‘trydive’ pool will be opened up to beginners and seasoned explorers alike, so visitors can get to sample scuba during their visit.
Other immersive experiences at the three-day event include the chance to explore wrecks, navigate a vast underwater cave and swim alongside sharks and seals.
Steve Backshall, a naturalist broadcaster and author; Andy Torbet, an underwater explorer; Monty Halls, presenter of BBC Great Escape; and Miranda Krestovnikoff, a natural history and archaeology broadcaster, will share their passion for diving on the Main Stage.
They’ll be joined by a line-up of familiar faces and newcomers on three more stages entitled Tech, Underwater Photography and Inspiration. There will be something to draw the interest of visitors, no matter what their level of certification – or even if they have never dived before.
