Jingle all the way to Bullring for a boogie

-

GET your dancing shoes on because a Christmas disco is happening at Bullring this weekend.

The Jingle Bell Jam Christmas Disco, in partnership with Birmingham Hippodrome, will take place in a glitter-filled disco dome outside St Martin’s Church with activities for all the family.

Inside the dome, Boogaloo Stu will be hosting the disco with lots of party games and circus acts added in too.

There will be Mirror Gents, a festive procession by Bostin Brass Band and a special fusion performance of ballroom (voguing) culture and circus cabaret by Fierce Flow, brought together by international artist Symone.

The Jingle Bell Jam Christmas Disco concludes with The Naughty List: Disco All The Way who will bring their sparkle into the evening with the best disco in the city.

Shoppers can take a break from their Christmas shopping and strut their stuff to Christmas classics on the light-up dance floor with Birmingham’s finest Drag Queens, Drag Kings and Disco Divas, taking part in lip-sync battles, party games and with plenty of prizes to be won.

And the fun doesn’t stay in the dome as Boogie Shoes will be taking shoppers on silent disco walking tours around Bullring and Grand Central throughout the day. Slots must be booked in advance.

It’s happening on Saturday, December 14 from 4pm to 8pm and Sunday, December 15 from 1pm to 5pm – and, what’s more, it’s free.

Danielle Bozward, marketing manager at Bullring and Grand Central, said: “It’s a truly unique festive experience. We promise our customers won’t have experienced a Christmas disco like this before!”
