Oxford Street is a gift for Christmas shoppers
HEADS TO LONDON IN SEARCH OF A FEW FESTIVE GOODIES
Christmas lights in here were beautiful and it was a lovely place to spend half an hour browsing the array of top brands they had on offer, including Gucci, Off-White, Balmain and Burberry.
Once again, the staff were attentive, keen to offer advice and lend a helping hand when required.
Midway through the afternoon we went to John Lewis and on the third floor found the Customised Quality Street Experience.
Being a big fan of chocolate tubs at Christmas, this was a must-visit – the chance to personalise your tin and fill it with just the chocolates you want to eat.
My ‘Woods Street’ will be the perfect family present, filled with their favourites: Strawberry Delights, Orange Cremes, and Coconut Eclairs.
One of the best things about this pop-up stand was the two exclusive chocolates on sale.
Nowhere else can you find the Crispy Truffle Bite, which tastes a bit like the Galaxy Truffle you used to be able to buy. They also a offer a Chocolate Brownie, which looks very much like Strawberry Delight but in darker foil.
This stand was a chocolate lover’s dream and is only available in certain John Lewis stores (and not online). It was £15 for the personalised tin filled with my favourite chocolates.
With another bag to carry, it was back to the shops. There is so much to do in Oxford Street that you almost need more than a day to take it all in.
It is the ideal destination for some late Christmas shopping, with everything concentrated in one area and easily accessible from the Tube.
By the end of the day I’d ticked off many of the presents from my shopping list, picked up some exclusive chocolates that I couldn’t order online, and enjoyed fantastic food and drink.
I left feeling festive, merry and ready for Christmas.
