Customer loved café so much, she bought it
A REGULAR customer at a Birmingham café was so enamoured with the venue that she decided to buy the business.
Lydia PapaphilippopoulosSnape has taken over Saint Kitchen in the city’s picturesque St Paul’s Square.
The undisclosed acquisition expands her portfolio as she already runs Warwick Street Kitchen, in Leamington Spa, with her business partner George Cambridge.
She decided to acquire Saint Kitchen after being approached by the previous owner who was looking to sell.
Ms PapaphilippopoulosSnape said: “The Jewellery Quarter is such a vibrant area of the city and the café culture in the neighbourhood is thriving.
“I live around the corner from Saint Kitchen and was friendly with the former owner.
“When he told me he was looking to sell the business and that he wanted me to take it over, I couldn’t refuse.”
The café has undergone a refurbishment which has created more space and light, an open kitchen and room for extra seating.
Leamington-based independent law firm Wright Hassall acted for the buyers.
