WALK THE LINE
FIVE new walking trails will open in the North York Moors National Park in April to mark its Land of Iron mid-19th century mining history.
The ore-bearing rock was quarried and processed in kilns before being hauled away by rail to ports on Teesside, and the routes complement the new ironstone permanent exhibition at the Moors National Park Centre in Danby.
