Design practice launches third base

-

A DESIGN and architecture practice has expanded its Midlands footprint by opening a new office in Birmingham.

RG+P has launched its new base in Newhall Street, joining its other offices in London and Leicester, where it is headquartered.

The multi-disciplinary practice specialises in architecture, urban design, project management and cost consultancy among its services.

Initially, its new Birmingham office will offer architectural and project management services with other disciplines to be added in 2020.

Architect Lauren Raybould and senior quantity surveyor Arron Iliffe will lead the new Birmingham team.

Among the firm’s projects in the region are the new £40 million student flats in Bath Row, Birmingham, and Coventry’s tallest building, the Code student project in Fairfax Street.

Director James Badley said: “Birmingham has bold development plans and a vibrant business community which we’re excited to contribute to.

“Opening in a third location had always been part of our long-term business plan and, with more of our work originating in the West Midlands, Birmingham seemed a natural choice.

“We’ve spent the last 12 months getting to know the businesses, local authorities and organisations that are now our neighbours and look forward to building our portfolio across the region.”

Fellow director Rob Woolston added: “Obviously, this is a big milestone for our practice and we were keen to build on this profile and establish a permanent position in Birmingham.”
