BATMAN: PENNYWORTH RIP

LAST summer Batman fans were devastated when DC killed off one of its most beloved characters, Alfred Pennyworth. Bruce Wayne’s trusted butler was murdered at the hands of Bane – leaving the Dark Knight at a crossroads. If Alfred was the glue that held the Bat Family together, how will Batman deal with that all falling apart?

Now, a special one-shot comic celebrates the life of one of the most important people in the history of Gotham City – while also addressing questions about what’s next. A host of Batman writers have come together to pay the ultimate tribute to a much-loved character.

Batman: Pennyworth RIP is out now priced £4.50.

A FRESH SLICE

ONE of the surprise hits of last year was the classic whodunnit mystery movie Knives Out.

The film took audiences by surprise and writer/director Rian Johnson – who earned an Oscar nod for his work – wants to replicate its success. Johnson has made no secret of the fact he’d like to solve more mysteries with Daniel Craig’s detective Benoit Blanc. And his wish may come true, as studio Lionsgate has officially greenlit a sequel – and has pencilled in production to start ‘imminently’.
