Partner promotions at PwC in the Midlands
FINANCIAL services firm PwC has made a series of partner promotions in its Midlands team.
They are Helen Ward (transaction services deals), Matthew Walker and Chris Shepherd (both audit), Matthew Woolgar (deals tax) and Thomas Rees (tax).
Ms Ward has more than 18 years of deals experience across a range of industry sectors while leading PwC’s transaction services national focus on aerospace and defence and industrial manufacturing.
Mr Walker has more than 20 years’ experience in external audit, specialising in international markets and working with overseasowned UK businesses. Mr Shepherd has joined the banking and capital markets team in Birmingham, relocating from PwC’s Manchester
office, having joined the firm as a graduate in 2006 and spending two years in New York.
Mr Woolgar joined the East Midlands tax team in 2012 before moving to Birmingham to help build its local deals tax team and has more than 15 years of experience advising on the tax aspects of transactions. He works with a wide range of Midlands clients to complete successful transactions through tax due diligence, structuring and other specialist services.
Mr Rees works with clients to assist in debt restructuring, structuring acquisitions and disposals, foreign exchange hedging and advising on the impacts of legislative change.
