Green packaging firm ideally placed to expand

-

AN ECO-FRIENDLY packaging firm has chosen the West Midlands to open a new national distribution hub and is already looking to expand.

Simply Eco Packaging is part of the London-based NGW Group, formed in February last year, and supplies biodegradable food packaging such as trays, cutlery, cups and pizza boxes.

It distributes to cafés, restaurants, takeaways and food outlets nationwide and has now launched a distribution hub on the North Moons Moat industrial estate, in Redditch, after agreeing a new deal on a warehouse unit.

Operations manager Trevor Histon said: “Simply Eco Packaging formed in March and was initially being run from homes in Redditch and London. Due to an increase in sales, a warehouse property had to be found as soon as possible.

“Sales had grown that much in a short space of time, we had carriers collecting full loads of traffic from our homes.

“Simply Eco Packaging has grown massively since the Covid-19 outbreak and the subsequent lockdown.

“The day-to-day business operation is run by me out of the warehouse in Redditch, while purchasing and sales are run by our team in London.”

Property agency John Truslove helped the company find the new premises.

Joint managing director Ben Truslove said: “Unit 19 on the North Moons Moat estate provided warehouse and office space as well as vehicle parking and was tailor-made for their needs. This is a rapidly growing business and we look forward to helping them with the next stage in their expansion.”

Simply Eco Packaging was advised by Advice Network and landlord Mileway Real Estate was advised by DWF.
