TRIED & TESTED

£24, superdrug.com THE fashion brand’s latest fragrance is an opulent blend of rhubarb, almond, jasmine and liquorice. And you’d best stock up if you like it, as it’s a limited edition. Lynne says: “I love a gourmand fragrance, especially at this time of the year when I yearn for a scent that’s as cosy as my jumpers. Perhaps it’s the subtle hint of liquorice, but this perfume manages to be mouthwatering rather than sickly. The goldtopped ombré bottle adds dressing-table appeal, too.”

£18, boots.com

ONE of three scents from fragrance house 4711’s Floral Collection, this sees neroli, bergamot and tonka bean complement jasmine notes. Laura says: “Nose-ticklingly heady, this is one for those who love a strong floral fragrance. Something so flowery wouldn’t normally be my first choice, but I was impressed with its intensity and staying power for the price.”

£15, boots.com THIS is part of Boots’ own-brand fragrance edit, which consists of five ranges – La Librairie, Pure & Co, Momento and #Mood, plus Composition for men.

Laura says: “I love perfumes with fig in them and this didn’t disappoint. It is more powdery than I was expecting, and a little bit earthy, but quite irresistible.”

THIS new line of six fragrances promises affordable scents for all tastes, whether you like clean citrus notes, fresh florals or spicy aromas. Each 100ml bottle will set you back £9.50 – or for the same price you can get a discovery set of three 30ml bottles.

Lynne says: “The bottles look classier than the price tag might suggest, and all the scents are light and easy to wear.”
