Last chance to enter Business Awards 2021
NOMINATIONS for the 2021 Birmingham Post Business Awards will close in just a few days’ time – so if you haven’t yet entered now is the time to do so.
The closing date for entries is April 19, before the ceremony on June 15.
The awards will recognise the incredible achievements of businesses and individuals in Birmingham over the last year.
The coronavirus pandemic has presented significant challenges to companies and business people in the area, forcing them to work within a changing economic terrain and deal with serious interruptions to business as usual.
Despite these obstacles, industry in Birmingham demonstrated impressive resilience, adapting to the new circumstances and striving to ensure that they could keep going.
At times companies and individuals were able to use the upheaval as a chance to innovate, re-organise the way they did business and come out of the situation stronger than before.
This determination and the impressive work carried out during the pandemic, is what the awards will celebrate – and we want nominations from those that feel they might be worthy of recognition.
If you think that the accomplishments of either you or your business are particularly impressive, enter via the official website.
Perhaps your business is one with a firm commitment to helping the local community – one that uses its successes as a chance to make life better for others. In which case, you could enter Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Project of the Year – which recognises a company that has carried out one or multiple
projects designed community.
Or maybe you’re part of a third sector organisation that’s really risen to the challenge over the last year and provided help and charity to those who really needed it.
If so, the Third Sector Organisation of the Year category is the one for you – celebrating the hospices, charities, and volunteer groups that did the work of helping others in a year when it was more important than ever.
This year we’re also running the Covid Defiance Award – for a business that has demonstrated outstanding fortitude and determination throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
It might be that your company

the continued to expand despite the challenging circumstances, or that you took the pandemic as a chance to innovate and improve the way your business works. If you feel your company managed to excel in the face of great obstacles, submit an entry.
We want to hear from you so the fabulous work taking place in Birmingham can be properly celebrated – and so have made our entry process quick and easy.
To enter the awards, businesses/ individuals will only have to provide a short company overview to offer a sense of what your company does and the context it operates within.
After that, entrants should provide reason to support their entry and why they think their entry should win. Finally, financial information may be necessary to support certain claims.
