Stoford reveal next part of major logistics hub
COMMERCIAL property developer Stoford has announced plans for the next phase of development at a £200 million logistics and manufacturing scheme in Worcestershire.
A reserved matters application has been submitted for the speculative development of almost 450,000 sq ft of new industrial and logistics space at Redditch Gateway east of the town.
Birmingham-based Stoford is seeking consent to build two new warehouse units of 160,208 sq ft and 286,328 sq ft that will include office space, a secure yard and parking.
The units will be developed on the south side of the 78-acre Redditch Gateway site, off the A4023 Coventry Highway.
Works will commence on site in autumn 2022 subject to consent and the new units could be ready for occupation from summer 2023.
The overall Redditch Gateway estate will have almost one million sq ft of brand new office, logistics and manufacturing accommodation when completed.
Stoford has been appointed as lead developer, working alongside landowners The Gorcott Trust and Homes England.
Stoford’s joint managing director Dan Gallagher said: “We are excited to be submitting proposals for the next phase of Redditch Gateway.
