Bus bosses enjoy their annual dinner
WE would like to thank J.P. Addenbrooke of Solihull for sending to us this fine photograph from around 65 years ago.
He tells us, “The publication of the MEB staff photo in Bugle 1481 – with my dad in there somewhere – has prompted me to send you this photo, also taken in the mid 1950s.
“It shows the Midland Red Bearwood Head Office Traffic Department at an annual dinner at the King’s Highway, Quinton.”
Mr Addenbrooke has done an excellent job in naming as many of the men in the photograph as he can, as well as detailing their jobs or the area of the Midland Red network that they were responsible for.
