PRIZES FOR COUPAR PUPILS

Hard work is rewarded

Coupar Angus Primary School celebrated the conclusion of the school year recently with an end-ofterm service and prize-giving ceremony.

A number of awards were presented to pupils for excellence in various fields, including sports, art, drama, music, citizenshi­p, reading, effort, and upcycling.

The winner of the house shield for sports was Balgersho, with Charlotte Hamilton taking home the girls’sports cup and Kian Brown winning the boys’ sports cup.

Andrew Mands won the Miss Hossack Prize for Music and was also presented with the Dux award.

The Jewell prize for drama was presented to Fred Kelly, the art prize was awarded to Mia McKenzie, the Whitelaw Gardening Quaich went to Rhianna Drennan, the York diary was won by Erica Kerr, the Eco Medal for Upcycling was won by Chloe Milton and the modelling competitio­n was won by Jamie Clark.

The P7 Community Council Cup was presented to Thomas Fischer, the P6 Cameron Community Salver was awarded to Adam Brighouse, Conner Gowans won the P5 salver for improvemen­t in maths, Christophe­r Rolfe won the P4 Hindmarch Cup, Klaudia Walkowiack won the P3 prize for effort in reading, Eva Patterson won the P2 prize for presentati­on and Alissa Miller in P1 won the High Fraser Shield for good citizenshi­p.

Ties were also presented to P7 pupils who are going onto high school after the school holidays.

Head teacher, Nicola Drew, praised all the pupils for their hard work and thanked all the teachers, staff and parents for their support throughout the year.
