Kirkmichael’s champions
Kirkmichael Primary School held its annual prize-giving ceremony on the last day of the school term.
A number of awards and prises were presented to the children in recognition of their hard work and achievements throughout the academic year.
The Kensington Cup for the most improved skier was awarded to Emily King, while Logan Wilkinson won the Wilson Quaich for sporting achievement. Chef of the Year was P6 pupil Polly Goodman. Outstanding effort awards were presented to Ellen Bridgeford (P1), Cammie Galloway (P2), Thomas Murdoch (P3), Emily King (P4), Jack Halliday (P5), Mackenzie Patrick (P6), and Chloe Smith (P7).
Attainment awards were presented to Finton Haworth (P1), Adrian Pyne (P2), Bella Dunphie (P3), Sebastian Goodman (P4), Arran Bridgeford (P5), Polly Goodman (P6) and Grace Woodcock (P7).
The Liam Fordyce Award for Perseverance with a Smile went to James Smith and the Eco Camp Award went to StruanThomson.
House Champions were Pitcarmick, captained by Chloe Smith, and the Hunter Cup for sports went to Ashintully, captained by Alasdair MacNee.
Gold sports medals were awarded to Sadbhb Marchbank (P1), Adrian Pyne (P2), Lottie Dunphie (P3), Sebastian Goodman (P4), Logan Wilkinson (P5), Polly Goodman (P6), Grace Woodcock (P7) and Silas Brayshaw from the nursery class.
