Blair hurt by Jags
A careless spell either side of the interval contributed to a 5-1 friendly defeat for Blairgowrie at home to Larkhall Thistle on Saturday.
The hosts started brightly at Davie Park, missing a few early chances – one of which was a shot cleared off the line.
An error by the Davie Park side saw Thistle take the lead after five minutes. Blairgowrie soon got back to level terms with a low drive from Allan Cruickshank.
Slackness allowed Larkhall to score the decisive goals in a 10-minute spell either side of half-time.
That apart, Blair gave a decent account of themselves and were denied by some good goalkeeping.
Four games in a week appeared to have taken its toll on Billy Mackay’s side, which were without several players owing to holidays.
