New members for Ericht Trust

- Clare Damodaran

The Ericht Trust is appealing for new members and trustees.

The community development trust for Blairgowrie and Rattray is a charitable not-for-profit organisation working towards helping to improve the town for the benefit of the community.

The current trustees may be considering stepping down at the Trust’s AGM, which will be held in October, and the Trust is keen to hear from anyone who might be interested in getting involved with its work.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the Trust said:“The current trustees have been on the board for four years and some may wish to retire. In order to keep the Trust viable, a new injection of trustees is essential.

“For some time now the three groups have worked closely together and some members are part of more than one of these groups.

“We were agreed that the Ericht Trust Board should have on it representatives from the community council, One Voice and any other group wishing to be part of a Blairgowrie and Rattray community partnership.

“These ideas will need to be ratified by the members of all the groups and also passed by the Ericht Trust membership at their AGM on October 10.”

Anyone who would like to find out more is asked to contact Dr J Shaw, One Voice Office, 13 Upper Mill Street Blairgowrie PH10.
