Inspiring learning both in class and outdoors
Situated just eight miles from Perth, Glenalmond College for boys and girls aged 12 to 18 provides an inspiring environment for learning.
Every pupil is supported in recognising and developing their strengths inside and outside the classroom through a focused academic programme and extensive extracurricular opportunities.
All pupils study for GCSEs and A Levels with a choice of 25 subjects in the Sixth Form.
Every year a good number of pupils achieve offers of places at Oxford and Cambridge (another three this year), and a high proportion go on to study at Russell Group universities.
As well as developing academic potential, Glenalmond encourages its pupils in other areas including sports, music and creative arts.
There are over 145 sports, activities, clubs and societies to choose from.
The school’s recently-refurbished theatre is the perfect setting for large-scale drama productions and Glenalmond’s talented musicians perform across the country.
Recent sporting developments include the creation of a worldstandard water-based astro pitch, a new 1 st XV rugby / 1 st XII lacrosse pitch with spectator stand, and a dedicated strength and conditioning training suite.
Day pupils as well as boarders benefit from the immersion in learning which is characteristic of Glenalmond, and free day pupil buses run from Perth, Crieff, Auchterarder and Dunkeld.
The school’s Open Day on Saturday, September 10 provides an opportunity for families to visit the school, meet pupils and staff, and find out more about life at Glenalmond.
