Potential funding

-

Those behind initiatives in Rattray that support adults with health, care and support needs are being encouraged to apply for funding.

A new scheme, called ‘Your Community, Your Budget, Your Choice’, is being run by Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership and claims to put local communities in charge of how money is spent on services.

Community organisations, groups of friends or neighbours, voluntary groups and even individuals can apply for a grant to put ideas into action. Grants for as little as £50 up to £4000 are available.

Applicants will need to demonstrate that their proposal will benefit adults with health, care or support needs, enable people to connect with others in their community, provide the community with an alternative or new support mechanism, be accessible and promote equal opportunities and be sustainable and able to carry on without additional funding.

Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership chair, Councillor Dave Doogan, said: “Every community has different needs, and this scheme will allow people to put forward ideas about what they think will work in their area. Whether you need equipment for a walking group, or room hire for a support group for older adults, we want to hear from you.”
