End of Season Classic at local club
Blairgowrie Golf Club broke new ground by staging a successful End of Season Classic at the weekend.
For the first time, all three of the local club’s courses came into play on Sunday.
The unique competition involved teams competing in an 18-hole challenge created from the Wee Course, Rosemount and Lansdowne.
Blair GC managing secretary Douglas Cleeton said:“It was something different and it proved very popular with members.
“We have three fine courses here and we produced a unique scorecard for the event.
“We were delighted with the turn-out and it is set to become a fixture on the golfing calendar.”
Teams of four took part, with the best two Stableford scores counting.
The winning team featured Richard Hallhead, Louis Cabena, Kenny Wight and Drew Garrow, with a score of 88 points.
