The choir sang the introit ‘Rejoice and during the offering ‘Abba Father’. Rev Graham spoke about the Transfiguration of Jesus before three of his disciples when they experienced a revelation of Jesus’ divinity. Jesus’ face “shone like the sun and his clothes became as white as the light”. God said: “This is my son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!” Rev Graham said Christians should stand in Jesus’ presence and allow his light to lead them forward to be the disciples he has called them to be. Austin Wilkie, organist, played ‘Chorale Prelude’ by H Willan, an improvisation on ‘Love Divine’, ‘Prelude in G Minor’ by JS Bach and ‘Leaving on a Jet Plane’ by John Denver.
