Chance tovote forlocal projects
East Perthshire residents are reminded that they have the chance to vote for their favourite community projects to receive funding of up to £1200 this weekend.
The latest round of ‘participatory budgeting’ in the area takes place at Coupar Angus Primary School this Saturday, March 25, from 10.30am to 1.30pm.
The proposed projects vying for a share of the cash aim to develop activities that address issues such as social isolation, deprivation, community transport, young people or the environment.
The Eastern Perthshire Decides project is organised by the Eastern Perthshire Action Partnership, one of five that have been set up with the aim of tackling inequalities facing residents in the area and helping services and communities work better together.
Organisations from three local council wards Blairgowrie and the Glens, Strathmore and the Carse of Gowrie - have submitted applications for funding. Residents can vote up to three times in each ward but can only vote for a project once.
The successful applicants will be announced at the close of the community event.
